Hebrews 7:18-28

v22-24) What is the "new arrangement"?

Through Jesus, it is new and better because it allows us to go directly to God through Christ. We no longer need to rely on sacrificed animals and mediating priests to obtain God's forgiveness. Priests and sacrifices could not save people, but Christ truly saves.

We can meet with Jesus anytime and any place.

He meets with me even when I am alone.

And through Jesus I can draw close to God!

And Jesus who constantly intercedes for me.

What a comfort to know, that even though I go through the struggles of life, I can always go to Him and He does hear me and comforts me.

today's read was interesting... and again i have to go back to the OT portion of it. Ezekiel 16 has some intense imagery no? Here's the crazy, STRANGELY "coincidental" part of the story: yesterday, i was listening to a john piper sermon (i do not do this everyday, randomly popped up on my mediaplayer) and he actually quoted ezekiel 16. The topic of the sermon was called "Sex and the surpremacy of christ". Let me know if you want to hear the sermon. If you haven't heard him speak before, piper is a bit.. intense, but has some good profound stuff. it would take too much time for me to expound his points in this blog comment text box.
