1 John 1:1-10
John wrote this letter to put believers back on track, since at the time the main problem with the church was declining commitment: many believers were conforming to the standards of the world, failing to stand up for Christ, and compromising their faith.
-yes God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all. We can not both walk in sin and be friends with God. but when we confess our sins, He does forgive us (purify us from ALL sin), and we then enjoy wonderful fellowship with Him and each other (the Body of Christ).
