James 5:1-20
The first part makes me think about the present financial crisis. How our earthly wealth will not make it into our next life, and it made me think if I lived in luxury and self-indulgence.
I like the admonition today to not grumble. Life is so much better free of any grumblings.
v12 talks about us saying what we mean. God wants our word to actually mean something.
The last bit talks a lot of prayer. I need to pray more and with more faith. Hey, if Elijah who is one of us could do it, then we too can pray prayers that bring in the rain.

God is really challenging me these days about prayer. All the passages that speak to me have a lot to do with them. To pray for hc, my family's salvation, youth group, healing and the list goes on.
There is power in prayer, so pray and witness God doing things! Pray on every occasion and for everyone and for everything. Particularly the ones that you feel a certain need for. God is listening.
