Gen 22:8 when Issac asked his father, he could see the wood and the fire but where was the lamb. Abraham replied "God will provide for Himself the Lamb….." I just felt O God whatever you required from us, as soon as we stepped out in faith, you will provide. Just like Janice did ! Praise God.

Gen 20:6 the Lord said to Abimelech that He has kept him from sinning against Him. My prayer this morning – Lord, kept me away from sinning against you. Isn't this good news, God actually can and will keep us from sinning against Him.

Gen 20:3 – God warned Abimelech about touching other's wife. I see God honoured Sarai as He did in 12:15, when Pharaoh tried to marry Sarai. God honour us women! YEAH ! But you see how the roots of lying come into Abraham's line, did not Jacob lie also before God dealt with him at Bethel?

Gen 21:16-18 When Abraham was forced to send Hagar and Ishmael away, in the desert when the water ran out, Hagar went away and "she lifted up her voice and cried to God"…… Wow look at this, when we weep and cry to God, He hears us, and He answers. When we repent in deep sorrow, He hears and answers. Our God is a God of great compassion and He will answer our prayers.

Gen 22 God tested Abraham on his faith and trust, from there on an everlasting covenant God made with Abraham and His descendant, v4 "on the third day" – this is a prophetic picture folks – Jesus resurrected on the third day, it was a prophetic picture of God would provide the sacrificial lamb to restore man's relation with him. And on the third day when Jesus rose, we were set free from our forefather's sin. Abraham raised his eyes and "saw the place" God will show us the place of sacrifice, where He wants us to let go old things, there we should offer our old things as sacrifice to Him in obedience and don't look back. This also apply to when God deal with us through life crisis, we must listen, don't kick and scream and worry. Just follow and obey. We will then see something awesome happen. When we have gone through fire, our spiritual eyes will be opened and received new spiritual vision of trust and walk with God, of seeing vision of hearing God's voice.

There is no resurrection unless there is a dying. Dying of the old self, dying of the carnality in us. A life depends on God and carry our cross daily to follow Him. That's what I want, in our weakness God CAN keep us from sinning against Him, that's good news to me and I want that. And in 21:33 Abraham called the Lord, Everlasting God. God never changed, He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Yes to Jesus!
